Churches Orchards and Daffodil Meadows - Walk 2
Saturday 16th March and Sunday 17th March 2024 - each day
Starting 10:15am from St Edwards Church, where there will be light refreshments available.
A guided walk will take place through farmland, old cider orchards, daffodil meadows and a visit to St Mary’s Church where you will see the best frescoes in England.
You must be fit enough to cross at least 5 stiles.
Total Distance - Just over 5 miles
The walk also includes a visit to Awnells Farm where you can see a fine pedigree heard of Hereford Cattle and ancient perry and cider orchards.
A local expert, will be able to answer all your questions on the history and life of this area.
All guided walks are limited to a maximum of 45 people on a first come first served basis.
Walking Maps of the Daffodil Way and walks in Queenswood will be available for sale from the village hall and St Mary's Church. For more information please see here
Walkers should be confident that they can walk the distance chosen.
Stout footwear/good walking shoes/boots should be worn as some surfaces will be slippery and some surfaces may also be muddy. Waterproof clothing is also advisable.
DOGS are welcome on the walks but MUST be kept on LEADS
